There are a lot of opinions from the different individuals and sectors of our city in relation to the TRICYCLE STRIKE that is happening today in line with the FARE ROLL BACK. Its quite bothering to see fellow Dumaguetenos bashing each others FB walls giving different comments and feedbacks to this matter. In my own opinion, both sides have there own lapses. On the 1st side,the GOVERNMENT should have conducted surveys and tried to weigh in things before implementing such ordinance. They should take to consideration that there is a big rollback difference with gasoline but the prices of the basic commodities and needs are still at high stake and in high prizes.Therefore the transition of the fare roll back is not accepted by the pedicab drivers for such reasons. On the other hand, the PEDICAB DRIVERS should take to consideration that a lot of commuters are affected with there strike. A lot where not able to arrive on time, suffered the consequences of being late in there respective appointments and worst is that they need to walk a long way just to arrive in there specific destination. These drivers should also realize that instead of staying in one place to strike , why not work for an income to feed there own family. This is my own perspective with the STRIKE that is happening in our city today. I hope by the end of this day, this problem should be properly addressed and must be given fast solution.
