There are around 600 million internet users in China, and they are being targeted both by the government and cyber criminals. President Xi Jinping is chairman of a new group that focuses on domestic Internet security policies, like keeping an eye on citizens, who post anti-government messages online etc. But the leadership doesnt take on and stop companies that indulge in criminalities. Cybercriminals take advantage of Internet users naivety and companies reluctance to equip themselves with advanced security software.
