There are certain times when something very rare happens. A time when I am rendered speechless. I have been rendered speechless by the kindness and generosity of MaLinda Ra Nae Manis and her family. It started with her daughter requesting donations at her graduation party. How awesome is this young woman to do this for us. I was already filled with pride at her kindness. But they did not stop there. MaLinda contacted me and offered me something I honestly did not think we would ever be offered. A van! Can you believe it?? The back was stuffed with donations of food, blankets, pillows and toys! How incredible!!!!!! You can see her pictured here. She runs good, and the interior is in great shape. I am still unsure what we will do with her, but I cannot express how thankful I am to MaLinda and her family. I have never really posted how I came to know Malinda. So here is some background. Her mother-in-law, Wyla M. Manis, had passed away April 26th, and they had two dogs (Maggy & Raggy), that needed homes, or they would be surely doomed. Raggy is 10 and Maggy is 12. Raggy is the smaller one in the photos. She has since lost weight and is getting along VERY well with our foster Twila Olson, who is an AMAZING lady and foster. Maggy unfortunately, became very ill the week after she came to us. After I took her to Dr. Smith, it was determined that she has Cushings Disease as well as cancer. She had a pretty bad systemic infection, so I brought her to my home for further treatment. I am happy to say that Maggy won her battle with the infection, and is now resting comfortably here with me. She has good days and bad. But she IS happy. I cannot thank you enough MaLinda. You have gone over the top. It is so apparent that your entire family is very giving and generous, and your gifts mean the world to me. What wonderful people you are. I am proud to know you all!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
