There are days in my real life where its difficult to do all of my roles. Today I am swamped at work because I am the only social worker here, so no Power Hour at work today for me. Do I stress about it? No way! I have learned to utilize my time. I will still devote the three hours that I give to my family with dinner, homework, baths, and story time. I will still get my work out in, and I will still complete my to do list for my business tonight. I dont really see this as a to do list though...it is a list of what needs to be done with the highest priority items being non-negotiable. Learning how to utilize my time best is how I work full-time with a 50 minute commute one way, make it to a majority of my sons activities, cook dinner for my family every night, and devote real time to them ... while putting the phone away. Sure, Im busy, and I dont have as much free time as I used to for going out to dinner with friends, watching movies, or playing video games, but I MAKE time for the quality activities I need to be doing.
