There are disturbing reports from TN about AIADMK personnel threatening to hold Kannadigas as hostages if bail is not granted to Ms Jayalalithaa. It is highly deplorable that no attempt has been made by ruling party to restrain these propaganda. When lot of avenues are left open till Supreme Court to plead the case of those convicted, it is setting a bad precedent for other states and parties to resort to such stances whenever any court judgement goes against them. Hope the Central Government will ensure that these unethical activities are brought under control. It is one thing to express opinion on judgement. But what we are seeing in TN in the name of protests is harassment of general public. Any minister in States or Union Government takes oath in the name of upholding the constitution in letter and spirit. Their over reaction may actually result in difficulties for Tamilians living in Karnataka and other places. Will someone in the position of authority take necessary steps to remove posters, which portray the mass leader and her followers in bad light.
