There are few things I respect more in a person than not only work ethic but taking pride in your work. The occupation is trivial, the pride in ones work is priceless. Case in point there is a gentleman at my gym who is the custodial engineer. He has been in this country for almost two years now. Every morning he is there bright and early working in the gym. I have never seen anyone, especially in a gym on their hands and knees polishing the diamond plate trim bordering the outer walls in the gym. He moves the treadmills, cleans underneath them, cleans behind the toilets etc. I told him that I admired his work ethic. That he seems to take such pride in such labor intensive work. He thanked me and said I am blessed by god to be in this country, blessed to have the opportunity to work, to put food on my families table. Everyday I wake up and cannot believe I get paid for something I do at home. I am living the American dream WOW!!! If that doesnt slap you in the face and give you some perspective I have no idea what does...
