There are many days of fear and pain. We chose to focus on the joy Elijah and our family are blessed with each day, but that goes with bad days for us too. We have days of fear and crying, we have days of struggle. I must say I am thankful and grateful to have my husband, Elijahs dad to lean on and share this burden with. I am thankful for each person who shows compassion and kindness, each person that prays for our family, takes time to visit or drop a note. We have been so blessed, have had very few who have judged or made this journey more difficult and stressful than it needs to be. We have been blessed with the sight to see all Gods glorious blessings around us. These things pull us up out of our grief, pain and fear. Yet, we too are human and need Gods strength and the strength He gives through each person that reaches out in some way. This encouragement helps us and has kept this mom from having too many days like the Batten mom in this video. Thank you for sharing, for opening your heart and sharing the bad times. They are hard, they are ugly, but they are real. We are praying for you and your precious daughter and look forward to hopefully being an encouragement to you as well. Will Elijahs friends join us in praying for this precious family as they too battle this monster of a disease?
