There are many people whom we never met, who hold a place in our hearts.. we cherish them as if we knew them.. And we mourn their loss intensely. Those we read for, those we loved seeing on screen, those whom we heard of their heroic endeavors...Those who died for the causes we believe in, or the causes we wanted desperately to believe in--to fight for-- but were afraid...or lazy. We miss those who feel like they were angels put on this earth, their stories of kindness and love scenting their memories.. We miss those whose words move us, whose genius touches us, whose music makes us reach inside our soul... And we mourn their deaths as if they were one of our own... I have learned that love sometimes is more powerful when you dont know the full story, when you only see the genius, the kindness, the courage, the love that these people personified..... I have learned that pain of losing them never goes away... it comes back as you pick up their books, their poems, hear of others like them... they hover over your shoulder ...there and not there... And in loving, in mourning, in remembering those we never met or met conceptually, we live, we become better people, and we soar because in our humanity we are linked to them... our souls met, though we have not..
