There are many who feel they need to separate their spiritual life from other parts of their life. They work at a certain time, relax other times, and worship God another time. But God doesnt want to be compartmentalized. He wants to be a part of every aspect of our life. This may seem like a funny metaphor, but it works. You can eat cheese by itself, but it always seems to be better when you eat it with other things. Its good when you have time set apart for God, but having Him present in every aspect of your life makes it better too. Its surprising at the amount of people who say theyre saved, and yet dont rely on God in their romantic life. There are many who act Christian when theyre at church, but wouldnt want anyone to see how they act at work. Shouldnt it be the same all the time? When God is present in your life, its not just on Sundays for Morning Worship, but when youre at work, when youre in front of your TV relaxing, when youre in driving, or wherever life takes you. Look at your life and see if God is present in it. If not invite Him in. It may mean a period of change and adjustment, but its worth it. When God is part of every aspect of your life youre not just dipping your toe in the water, but being full immersed in the spirit of God. You wouldnt have a very good relationship with your spouse if you only shared parts of your life with that person. Why would it be any different with the one that created, loves, and has the potential to save you from Eternal Hell?
