There are moments in life when something happens that there is no explanation for. You cannot find the reason, you can only see the result. Saint Abigails story is one of divine intervention. I am still amazed she is alive, as are her doctors, as is everyone. Saint Abigail developed bloat while at Bakersfield City Animal Care Center. While her condition quickly deteriorated, something happen. Something, call it Gods hand, call it the universe, call it whatever you want.....we cant explain it. How, when a dog cannot speak, did Dr. Duquette know she was sick? How, when her stomach ruptured, did Dr. Takata manage to keep her alive? How, when she should have turned septic, did she fight past infection? These doctors are amazing but I believe on this day there was more at work.
