There are no degrees of honesty, You are either honest or you are not Dont know who wrote it, but my dad quoted it plenty growing up... Told my daughter, I want to live my life as honestly as I can. Its what I value more than my breath. If I die rich or poorly, I never want to have taken advantages I didnt earn. When its all over, if any friends stand by me or call me friend to others, ...theyre real and I was blessed to know them. I want to be like my dad. Nobody could impune his honesty through out his lifetime. The friends he had were top shelf-rock solid, dead honest and loyal. Its what I value. What else could you expect, I grew up with in a military family...! Ive got your back meant Ill keep fighting for you and with you till I fall but Ill never quit so youll never need to look over your shoulder to see if Im there in the game with you as I said I would be. Those who take whats not earned, more than their share, anothers place in line, if somethings free they dig deeply versus-you take your one and say thank you and not what you can get away with just arent what I value as friends. Years back when I worked with some awesome companies, Rockwell made a poster when they were seeking the best and brightest to work on the space program or defense. It was entitled, Reach a litter Higher! I loved it. So did my dad when I showed it to him. With love, he loved one woman with all he had and was rewarded with the love of his life......no surprise that you get what you give. Nobody is perfection embodied, but if you give all you have without measuring your return on your effort, youre likely to find it comes back. The same guy was tough as the soldier he was but soft enough to save stray animals and make sure his family had comforts before he looked to see what he had for himself-And hed defend his family and country as if he was an unstoppable army.
