There are not enough words to express how overwhelmed I am by the sheer kindness, generosity and love for fellow human beings I have experienced through Santa Shoebox. To say thank you seems so inconsequential. It doesnt begin to cover the depth of gratitude I have for all the help and support we received this past week and weekend. The shoeboxes pledged and delivered, the donations of cash and goods, the tireless volunteers, my family - mom, mom-in-law, children and hubby who were there to the bitter end working in the trenches, my friends who have selflessly been on board since the beginning- getting stuck in and just doing with their time and donations, my friends who pitch up and work without me even asking, the families of my friends - moms, children and hubbies, my fellow friends in business from KZN Women in Business and BNI, my friends in charities from the Open Door Crisis Centre, Robin Hood Foundation, Mrs. Clause Foundation, my friends from other areas who packed their passports on both days and volunteered their time, those amazing people who heeded my desperate plea last week and arrived with boxes and donations, volunteers who arrive every year to assist with this cause. I could go on and on. 2518 children from the poorest of the poor will receive a gift of love this year because of you. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
