To this point in time most people have erroneously believed Apple to be impervious to malware, which has never been true. Macs are designed to be consumer-grade devices which have a fairly minimal install base in enterprises. However the exploits which have been placed on even normally reputable websites make any device potentially vulnerable. A point in fact was a MacBook Pro we cleaned of several serious malware items.
