There are organizations in this world that fight and protect your right to protest and stand up for what you believe. In these organization the majority are trying to do the very best they can to do their jobs to the best of their ability. There are very few that would run toward danger, including gun shots, someone, with a knife, sometimes even Terrorist attacks, to risk there lives to defend a total stranger. And to hurt and cry when they are alone, sometimes when we sleep, which tends to get less the more you see in our job. We think to ourselves if I had been a little faster getting there, or if I had done this differently, I might have saved one more life. Are mourn for a fallen friend, because they were fast enough to put themselves in front of the victim and be killed by the bullet that was meant for someone they didnt even know. Comforting a family that has just lost a loved one. What most people dont realize are even care about is the fact that, we as Law Enforcement Officers, know that we are doing jobs that very few would want. We dont do it for the pay, we do it thinking that maybe we can make a small difference. I would dare to say that there are few that would run into a burning building, run toward someone shooting to try and stop the shooter no matter what the cost to his own safety. There have been instances where, yes people have been killed, black, white, brown and yellow, and some that dont wear a uniform. Some of those were black, white, brown and yellow. I wish that it were a law that these people that are the first to judge, condemn without knowing the whole story would have to go through some of the things we have to deal with. The sad thing is that no matter what you do to us, no matter the hate that you show us, know matter how much the media helps to spread the hate. The next 911 call we get where someone is being robbed or shot, or stabbed, WE BEHIND THE BADGES WILL ALWAYS BE THERE TO ANSWER THAT CALL. R. Green, Mt Vernon, Texas God Bless Those Behind The Badges
