There are really no words to convey how shocked, saddened & outraged I am over the discovery of the three teens who went missing in Israel. This piece from the NY Times signals out one indisputable fact, that my friend Sara Rapaport also points out: Im feeling devastated for all the families involved but cant help feeling that this is just the beginning as this conflict continues to heighten. Despite political agendas, despite what what religious beliefs we adhere to, at the end of the day we are just trying to exist, to come home to our families, and to feel safe. The more we compromise these basic human rights for each side, the more we will all suffer. Why is it that when I talk to fellow American-Jews, they know nothing of the missing boys - (one of whom was American)? We talk of conflict and of this divide, but we seem to forget the PEOPLE. Read this, and remember.
