There are so many factors that goes into wages of various careers. The sad part is that you have college students , teachers , coaches , graduate students etc working some of these minimum wage jobs due to the job market... Yes its about earning enough to live and function but its also about what is your job requiring you to do. As individual who has work every job retail fast food restaurant child care... I got paid what I deserved because I STARTed at the bottom and got raises for the hard work I put in. In my opinion, healthcare/child development jobs should be 15 and up.. Your retail and restaurant... 12-14 because of the benefits associated ( discounts on clothes , food, tips in come cases, flexible scheduling but understand the sacrifice of time working on holidays and inventory nights ) while fast food should be truly gear toward our youth meaning 8-9 starting off with opportunity for raises to up to 10-11. Thats for the crew tier of course management and leader positions have more responsibility and deserve more but either that comes with experience/education/ or seniority ... I had to VENTI
