There are so many people that I owe thanks to for helping to fulfill the vision of The Womens & Girls Project of Winston-Salem! We officially started programming in 2011 and although weve experienced growing pains, everyone has hung in there with us! And literally, they have been growing pains! Weve grown beyond our capacity to serve any more girls at this point! Thats amazing but is a sure sign that we need more women to dedicate their time, ideas, and resource to the Project. Im one person and we were never intended to be a Nakida situation! Shannon Brooks, Kisha M Black, Rikki Samuel, Sharigurl Pack, Kisha Robinson, Rhonda Blackshear, Cathy McLaughlin-spates, and Iya Oyaayode Olopade Abioye have all been there to pitch in throughout this time and more women are awaiting our next interest meeting. These women inspire me in unimaginable ways! Thank yall! Shannon Brooks, is a constant and my voice of reason ALWAYS! This work belongs to all of us! Jamila Stover and I share the same vision for women and girls in Winston-Salem so it was natural for us to team up with Louise G. Wilson Twirlers to build our capacity to get the work done! This is a wonderful partnership and we have so many great things coming down the pipeline! Its gonna be one AMAZING summer and beyond! Hold on tight :-D
