There are so many things about the past that I could let haunt me, fill me with fear and anxiety, make me an unhappy and nervous wreck. But why do that to ourselves?? Allowing those thoughts and feelings to take up residency in my heart and mind could actually fill up so much space that I wouldnt have room for the incredible life Im living right here, right now! The amazing future the Lord has in store for us, His word that says that He has erased what is behind us, and the past is not the indicator of what lies ahead of us, this is what we have to choose to set our minds upon. Each and every day. God says that whatever weve done or what has been done to us - we have to forgive and move forward to the freedom and peace that He so lavishly pours out to all His children. God knows what weve been through, and He does not intend for it to make a lifetime of suffering or pain. He intends for it to grow us - closer to Him - to depend on, be obedient to, and trust our Heavenly Father to lead us out of the desert and into fruitful lands overflowing with milk and honey! Lord, we know that if we dont let go of the past, it can creep in and effect the lives of our spouse, our children, our family and friends. Lord, we know that trusting you really means letting go of all fear and all unforgiveness. Today, we pray for our loved ones and ourselves as we let go of all things that have hurt us before, and we look forward to the freedom of writing, being the co-authors and creators of the joy, happiness and great future you have for us!! It is well with my soul! Lord, thank you for making rivers in the dessert!!! We see and taste your flowing waters, we wash all things clean and we look forward to the great, incredible, dreams-do-come-true life, hand in hand, with you!! We cover this in prayer each day, and we know you will bring miracles! We love you, Lord! Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the dessert. ❤️ Isaiah 43:18-19
