There are so many things to see and do when you visit Lake Havasu. We went exploring and within a short drive found Wild Burros grazing in a small patch of grass(pic on the left). The wild Burros you see in and around Lake Havasu were the result of a short-lived mining boom in 1858. With the decline of mining and the emergence of the railroad at the end of the nineteenth century, many of the animals were abandoned into the surrounding hills and have thrived in our desert climate.
