There are so many things we do it life that seem to the ultimate and just to realize at the end of it that it was just another empty bubble and as Solomon would put it a chasing after the wind! We want to lead in fashion, own huge cars, marry the most beautiful or handsome, eat the most expensive meals, hate and hurt our enemies, pose and pretend to be everything we are not etc! Eventually we head for the grave just like everyone else. The question is "so What?" At the end of life, you ask yourself, was that really worthy insulting God for, disregarding His commands and love! How we deceive ourselves that we are the most important of all that exist and everything must revolve around us. We are usually afraid to confront our inner self to see the miserable creatures we are sometimes until it is too late or we are consumed by pride to acknowledge this fact. Again here is a weekend to sober up and listen from our Maker. For God so Loved the world that He gave His Son, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16) If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (1John 5:9-12) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiates 12:13)
