There are those who are content to compartmentalize shame to a duly hidable perfection so as to cloak damage that will forever deform us. It allows them the hold to a seductive scar, the pleasure of unnecessary pain. And yet there are those who thrive on it... to show damage and find identity, to attract equally broken beings who believe the same wrongness, that two broken fragments produce a mended whole, that two same odd pieces can create a masterpiece that will defy all odds and change the way the world thinks of love and life. Sadly, these become the tragedies we only seek to avoid, tragedies that we forget have turned our lives into comedies... comedies that show us in all our foolishness... fools who repeat and never learn, fools who learn but never want to understand.
