There are those who are expert in manipulating everyone they come in contact with to their best advantage. They use emotion, commonalities, promises, and hope to weave each person into the spot they are to fill. This is a survival skill. They are rarely alone, and they always have someone to take care of their needs, as people are drawn in like moths to flame, knowing they might well get their little wings singed off, but seeing the light of the fire and interpreting it as the light at the end of the tunnel rather than the incinerator of hearts. These people will leave behind pain, disappointment, and broken hearts. But they will always survive. (My attempt at psychology and human behavior for the day.)
