There are three ways to achieve independence for a people, namely: the Military Method, the Political Method and the Judicial Method. Biafrans have tried the military method and failed. The political method is the fastest method but it appears that the Biafrans lack political wisdom, unfortunately. I dare say that an average illiterate northerner understands the game of politics better than many educated Biafran activists. When I joined the Biafran Struggle two years ago and drafted the strategies for our independence, the first plan was to prepare a Bill for the Independence of Biafra to be sponsored in the National Assembly. I consulted with many Igbo politicians and discovered, to my disappointment, that none of them was a Biafran politician. The Biafrans had nobody in the National Assembly to sponsor our Bill of Independence. I felt very bad when I compared the Biafrans with the Scottish people who have many members in the British Parliament debating for the Independence of Scotland in the House of Commons. I felt really bad that Biafrans had nobody in the National Assembly. I also checked at the State levels and there was no Biafran politician in the States’ Houses of Assembly. It became impossible for the Biafrans to use the political method to gain independence. The only option left for us was the Judicial Method. The Ijaw Activists in the Niger Delta were wiser than the Biafrans. They infiltrated the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and passed the Ijaw National Bill creating the Ijaw National Anthem, Ijaw Coat of Arms, and the Ijaw National Flag. They now have a law that backs their autonomous status. If the Ijaw People want to be free from Nigeria now, it will be very easy for them because they are in control of a State. They can display the Ijaw National Flag and Coat of Arms in public and in the State House. The Biafrans are not in control of any Local Government Area, let alone a State, and have no right to place the Biafran Flag on a public property or public highway or the State House. They can only place the Biafran Flag in their private properties, not in public properties. It appears that the members of Boko Haram in the North were even wiser than both the Ijaw Activists and the Biafrans. The Boko Haram Activists infiltrated the Nigerian Politics at the highest level for many years waiting for the right time to actualize their dream. They have the majority seats in the National Assembly and can pass any Bill that favours them. They occupied all the Houses of Assembly in the North and passed the Bill creating the Sharia Government in the twelve northern States. They are firmly in control of 12 States of the Federation which can become a country if they want. Their Houses of Assembly have passed the Bills into laws backing their self-governance. They can easily free themselves from Nigeria now if they want to. They occupy both their States Houses of Assembly and the National Assembly. The people of the South East are now officially the minority tribe in Nigeria with the least population figure, the least number of States and the least number of Local Government Councils, receiving the least allocations because the Federal Government grants the allocations according to the number of States and number of Local Government Councils in each zone. Each State in Nigeria has three senatorial districts. A zone with six States has 18 senatorial seats and the zone with 7 States has 21 senatorial seats. The South East with 5 States has only 15 senatorial seats. Of all the members of the House of Representatives, 192 are from the North while 168 are from the entire South (East and West combined). The North is always given more seats than the South even if the East and West are combined. Thus, the Ibos have been totally disempowered in Nigeria. They cannot possibly win an election into the Presidency or push a Bill through with the 15 senatorial votes they have in the National Assembly under the present political structure. There is no level playing field or equity in Nigerian politics to liberate the Biafrans. Nigeria has been specifically designed to disempower the Ibos politically and economically. The Northerners outsmarted the Southerners in the game of polimatics. It was just recently that the President of Nigeria confessed that Boko Haram had infiltrated his government. They did not infiltrate it today. It took them many years of hard work, planning and scheming in secret, starting from the time of Murtala Muhammed who drafted the plan and gave it to his successors to implement. Unfortunately, the Biafran activists lack political wisdom and have removed themselves from Nigerian politics as they deny their Nigerian nationality but still carry about their Nigerian Passports!
