There are times in life when no words can be found As you try to stand tall, yet your tears hit the ground We have all shared this over the last few days As we cried, asked why, and yes, all even prayed Words sent to heaven from each of us I’m sure Some of us telling God, “We can’t take much more” We know not the reason some things happen as they do We can only rely on each other to pull through I know the saying, “There is a reason for all things” Yet those words feel empty when mixed with such pain As we gathered with you today, not understanding God’s plan We feel helpless and alone without our friend. David go ride high because I know you will never leave us, Your spirit will live in all of us forever!
