There are times where lack of imagination can be right down - TopicsExpress

There are times where lack of imagination can be right down deadly. Orange’s situation is proof of that. Named after being orange-Orange, neglected to the point of being so flea ridden that she came into the rescue hairless, except a bit on the top of her head, and abandoned at 6 years of age, without ever thinking if anyone will ever be able to help her. her previous caretaker showed no imagination as to the type of suffering Orange would endure. I was so nervous going to the rescue today; putting all of my available time, resources and energy into Woody and Matteo, I haven’t been there in a while, and wasn’t sure whom I wound find. I found Orange. And I urgently need someone to help me with her. As mentioned before, she came in an indescribable state of neglect. She had so many flea bites that she couldn’t stand up. She had lost all of her hair, a clear indication of allergic reaction to fleas. To make matters worse, she was very, very upset when put in a cage, and stopped moving all together; she would just sit in one spot with her head down. Things didn’t improve much when the rescue staff treated her skin and her fur started to grow back. She was still extremely depressed. Today, Orange is a sick cat. She spends all of her time in a box lined with a blanket. The rescue staff says she eats wet food, but I know she has the runs. I need someone to help me with Orange. She must immediately go to a foster home, or be adopted if she were to live. She will not survive in this state at the rescue. Orange needs another cat rescue or a very, very generous person to take her out, into a foster or adoptive home, where she will receive the veterinary attention, love and quality of food she has to have. The small rescue she is at is doing everything they can, however due to the fact that they have been bombarded with literally hundreds of kittens, they have no foster homes, or resources to help Orange. They have done everything they can afford to help her, but it’s not enough. She needs to live in a home where she will be respected and helped, and not stressed out by the number of other cats surrounding her. If I don’t take the long shot and ask if there is anyone that can help her, Orange will not make it. I realize that I have asked and received an abundance of help from so , so many of you that read my posts, share them and support my helping those forgotten, special needs cats. And so many cats are living very happy lives today thanks to you. I just cannot sit and do nothing knowing that Orange could be like Woody, needing help but once she receives it, she could thrive. Could you ALL, PLEASE share this post and see if a late Christmas miracle will happen for Orange. If there is a person/rescue that could help me in arranging foster or adoptive home for her, understanding that she might need to receive veterinary care, which the current rescue cannot pay for at this moment, please do not delay contacting me, Anette Targowski. In this situation, the time is of the essence. Orange was born in 2008, she is in a small rescue outside of Kawartha Lakes, and she is needs help most urgently. Please share with your friends and ask them to share as well.
