There are values, which you cannot learn anywhere else in the world except within a family set up. Think of it: Where were you taught how to brush your teeth? This was part of learning how to love yourself. What about making up your own bed, tidying your bedroom and washing of dishes? All these were action toward self-love. All children are born ignorant, primitive and wild and function on instinct. Once these primitive traits are not recognised and addressed, and then we will have an elderly generation of ignorant, primitive, wild people functioning on instinct – without self-control. Think about it! To those of us who are parents, we owe it to our children to make our homes conducive to transference of life skills.
