There are very few moments as a parent that leave you feeling you did something right. Slim to none in my case. I love my kids, dont get me wrong, but this mothering think is hard. I wasnt born with it. Im still trying to figure it out. My children have taken me places I never thought I would go. Some good. Others not so good. Im still hoping prison doesnt make that list. And then some days you just cant believe those little people belong to you. You marvel at how you could be so lucky. Today I watched Cooper go around the neighborhood on his bike and gather up his friends. He brought them here and asked if they could pray for his white grandpa because he was sick. And they did. Without hesitation. Every single one of them. Most dont attend church. It made no difference. It was important to Cooper and therefore important to them. Right here in my family room. Little boys praying, without knowing how, for someone they didnt know. It was hands down one of the most humbling moments I have ever witnessed as a human being, and lets say Ive seen a few.
