" There can be no wealth without labor. The worker is the source - TopicsExpress

" There can be no wealth without labor. The worker is the source of all wealth. Who raised all the food? The half-fed and impoverished farm-laborer. Who built the houses, the warehouses, the factories, and railways, which are possessed by the rich, who never labor or produce anything? The worker. Who spins the yarn and makes the clothing? The poor and hungry weaver. Yet the laborer remains poor and destitute, while those whi do not work are rich, and possess abundance and great wealth. " - A British working-class newspaper, Lancashire, 1849 I couldnt make the argument against the current economy any better than they were already making it 164 years ago.
