There has been a lot of VA bashing lately, and often rightly so. That being said, they do a lot more good than bad. They have been a valuable asset for me and countless others. Some have fallen through the cracks, been forgotten, and screwed. They cant give up. They must persist. The VA has advocates at the hospitals for the vets, some states supply advocates, and the DAV has advocates. Another problem has been the attitude of some vets themselves. They seem to have the attitude that if the VA doesnt do it the way the vet wants then the VA must be screwing them. Communication, communication, communication.
