There has been no bigger friend of our emergency services personnel in Aubrey than current council members Christopher Rich and Jeff Perry. In the past two years they were the only two council members (other than me) to support ALL of the following: Fire Dept • approved funding to pursue and obtain one of the highest rated fire departments in Texas • approved an almost 9% pay raise for hourly personnel • approved a 50% increase in the city’s matching participation to their retirement • approved all supplemental budget items requested by the Fire Chief • approved hiring 4 additional firemen for the Navo fire station • approved moving Capt. Downes to FD full time Police Dept • approved an almost 9% pay raise for hourly personnel • approved a 50% increase in the city’s matching participation to their retirement • approved all supplemental budget items requested by the Chief • approved hiring another officer to get to 24/7 police coverage Anyone suggesting otherwise is not aware of the facts or is intentionally trying to deceive you. And of course, I can provide documentation to prove everything Ive stated here.
