There has been quite a few reports on the news of serious transport accidents in the past couple of days; a Mozambique Airlines plane crashed on Friday, killing all 33 people on board. And as most of you will already be aware, a police helicopter crashed on Friday night in Glasgow, taking the lives of 8 people and leaving others with various injuries. Today Ive learned that a train derailed in the Bronx area of New York this morning and many folk have been left with injuries, the authorities have not yet confirmed any deaths but there are US media reports of at least 4 deaths. Another accident Ive learned of today because of posts on my news feed; the Paul Walker car accident in California. Unfortunately, The Fast & Furious star was involved in an accident in which the Porsche his friend was driving crashed into a lamp post and a tree, both Paul and his friend were pronounced dead at the scene. Take some time out of your day to pray for those who have passed away in these horrific accidents, those who have been left seriously injured, those who have been involved in the rescue operations and for the families of the deceased and injured, may God give them strength through these testing times, and may He grant peace and paradise to the deceased, Ah-mayn / Amen / Ameen. One should reflect from incidents such as these and use them to better ones own life. Keep your parent(s) happy, hug them when you see them even if you dont think you have a reason to; make them smile. Be nice to children, they need it more than you think they do. Help that elderly woman who stays across the road and struggles to get to the shops for her groceries. Be thankful for what you have and stop complaining about what you dont have, spend more time with the people that love you, they could be here today but gone tomorrow, its only when theyre gone that we really begin to value what we had and ironically; what we once wanted is forgotten and what we once had is what we want back! This sentence from the Quran is a great reminder to strive to be a better person: Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction.... (4:78). The thing I like about this sentence is that you dont even have to believe in a religion to know that this is true; no matter where you are, death will find you! #BeBetter #MakeEveryMomentCount #GoodDeeds
