There has been so much sadness lately with people passing, police shootings, homicides, floodings etc., makes me reminisce about Park Falls and how most of us growing up there never experienced what goes on in todays world. We could run all over town and not worry about being attacked or abducted. I suppose it is a sign of the times and I suppose thats why we share our memories and a little of ourselves in the meantime. Although, when I was growing up in PF, with my Dad on the police force, we had someone trying to get in our house when Dad was on nightshift. We (my mom and I) would stay awake all night long and we could see the guy in our backyard and see burnt out matches underneath our windows the next day. One night the guy almost got in a bedroom window but we heard the venetian blind moving around. My Mom would have my Dads rifle on her lap and her and I would sit on the sofa and wait...Dad and a few other cops chased the prowler one night but lost him along the river. My mom was scared and I was just mad cuz I wanted to go to sleep..:)
