There have been repeated incidents of questionable information - TopicsExpress

There have been repeated incidents of questionable information given during “Equal Opportunity Training” within the Armed Forces. In April of last year, a briefing in Pennsylvania included Christians, Catholics, and other peaceful religions in a list of extremist groups that included Al Qaeda. In October, a briefing at Camp Shelby included AFA and the Family Research Council as a domestic hate group. The military’s response has repeatedly been that these are isolated incidents that won’t happen again, but they keep happening again. Last week during an Armed Services hearing, I asked the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Policy what is the purpose of the briefings, who thought they were a good idea, and what has been done to those who made the decision to have them. Unacceptably, I was told that the information was unavailable. I have asked the Committee to hold future hearings so that we can get to the bottom of these incidents and find out who is ultimately responsible. youtu.be/HKoRl3Q44Sg
