There have been three tragic deaths on West Yorkshire roads in the past 24 hours and Superintendent Pat Casserly is urging people to take extra care: It is an awful event when people die in road collisions. Over the past 24 hours 3 people have died as a result of collisions on the roads of West Yorkshire. Whilst there have been reductions in the number of people who are killed and seriously injured in road collisions over recent years, the human tragedy of the deaths is not diminished. The risks of death and injury are greatly increased with high speed and dangerous driving, but there are also other less obvious risks that people using roads need to address. We understandably take the road network for granted and therefore are at risk of complacency lulling us into danger. Please, be attentive in your use of the roads, protect yourself and dont expose your loved ones to the distress of bereavement.
