There is NO scripture evidence that a weekly sabbath was created - TopicsExpress

There is NO scripture evidence that a weekly sabbath was created on the 7th day of creation. Rest was created for man to enter into permanently (sabbath/rest was made for man; NOT man for the sabbath). There is NO scriptural evidence for Adam and Eve being commanded to observe a weekly sabbath and in FACT they communed daily with God before the fall. There is NO scriptural evidence that anyone was commanded, between the fall of man and Sinai, to observe a weekly sabbath. There IS scriptural evidence that ISRAEL was given the weekly sabbath command. There is NO scriptural evidence that Jesus told any Jewish OR Gentile people they needed to observe a weekly sabbath after his death and resurrection. (and Jesus observing Sabbath was because he was Jewish and was here to FULFILL that Old Covenant law). There is NO scriptural evidence that any disciple or apostle told early church believers that it was necessary to observe any weekly sabbath --- and IN FACT they told New Covenant believers (which I guess SDA arent a part of) that they should NOT judge others in which day they held important!! There is NO scriptural evidence in Revelation that a weekly sabbath would be some end-of-times test and it certainly does NOT have anything to do with a Mark of the Beast. EG White falsely says that the sabbath is the seal of God. She is LYING. The seal of God is the Holy Spirit given to New Covenant believers at the time of new birth! AND TO TOP THAT OFF --- religious Jews have always known, and know to this day, that it is forbidden for Gentiles to observe the sabbath which was between them and God. AND TO TOP THAT OFF --- the sabbath command (given to the Jews ONLY) is about rest; not working. It is not about going to church, or worship or any such thing. It was a memorial to the rest lost in the Garden of Eden.
