There is a fruit basket line that separates commanders and staffs. If you are a commander that expects a fruit basket when visiting units or are a staff that proactively provides one, you fall on the side of the line defined as "the problem". Join us on the other side where thanks and appreciation is expressed through word and deed and not oranges and chocolates. This is the military. Sherman would have shot you.
