There is a good chance this post wont get any response-- Please prove me wrong!! :) Here goes :) I wonder why people categorize others as religious so quickly. I have heard the term thrown around a LOT lately... and most of the time it is used in a very negative connotation... and recently it has been used several times to describe me... which is OK I guess. Someone who works out a lot is called an athlete.. but I never hear negative connotation about athletes as a whole. It makes sense that people would want to give someone a name...which I understand from some peoples point of view, if God doesnt make sense, than the logical thing to do would be classify a person as religious since religious people believe or at least CLAIM to believe in God. Sometimes it seems like people use it as a defense mechanism... very quickly say Oh you are religious... or oh that person is religious. What I interpret a lot of times is I dont relate, so I am classifying you into a category that makes logical sense to me. I guess to a degree we all do it (classifying and categorizing)... However, for those who classify ME as religious, is it the same religious category of the negative religious category? And for those reading who dont believe there is a God... do you also believe I am completely delusional?? :) I pray all the time!! Either God exists and is real, or I am completely delusional and have an imaginary friend I talk to multiple times a day... but if that makes you think too hard... and/or feel uncomfortable... then you can feel free to just call me religious. ... and hopefully, my demonstration of religion will be one of attraction and my walk of Faith will be one that bears fruit that is undeniable and promotes joy that is overflowing.
