There is a group if kids 5-12 in my neighborhood selling lemonade for 50cents a cup at the gate of my neighborhood. Obviously intrigued by their motivation for money at such a young age, I decided I would surprise them by long boarding over and giving them 5$. As I approached the kids, they all ran over asking if I wanted lemonade telling me that its the greatest lemonade. I asked them all about what they planned on using the money for (because they were so young and had parents who obviously bought them anything 50cent lemonade stand would buy). I found out that the 7-8 kids were raising money to donate to their local hospital and it would fund teddy bears. They had pictures decorating the stand from previous visits and I was moved by it. Here these kids are only 5-12 years old and unselfishly donating their time and money to help buy a few teddy bears for a hospital.
