There is a lot of talk about the Shoppes of Lake Village (Silver Lake area) Publix is eventually going to close in 2014. I dont know if contacting Publix home office will make a difference or not but it might. Im hearing that public concern made a difference in College Park and I know there were many people who made a difference in Palm Plaza Publix not closing, many years ago. So, with that in mind, I asked our Publix office for the home office contact information so I could write to them. The clerk readily gave me a copy of the following info. Who knows, maybe an outpouring of public concern could make a difference?! Im going to write to the home office and I hope others will as well. I certainly dont want to drive to a new Publix on Hwy 19 that is reportedly planned, nor do I want to drive into town to Palm Plaza. This affects many people in our area of LEESBURG. Tavares, a smaller town, will end up with a new Publix (depending on where it is planned on Hwy 19) and also will have their Winn Dixie Marketplace.
