There is a major issue in our food system that I want to spread awareness about: the fortification of white flour and white corn meal. The other day I went to eat corn chips and realized that even they were fortified with not only b-vitamins, but Reduced Iron. Is reduced iron from non-biological sources really something we should be putting into our bodies? I propose the possibility that inorganic reduced iron slows us down and makes us more docile, thus preserving the status quo.
