There is a meeting tonight in Irving, TX, to discuss why there have been so many earthquakes there recently. I have read erroneous reports that they are due to fracking there. There is no fracking activity within 10 miles or more of where these quakes are occurring. The area sits on a fault. Cant remember its name, but I believe it starts with a B. Cant wait to hear what the university has to say they believe is causing the earthquakes. They have been doing damage over time to homes and businesses in the area. However, please know the ground is unstable in Irving. It is why we did not buy the house we were renting to own when we first moved to Texas. It doesnt give much confidence when the closest elementary school is up on jacks while it is stabilized.
