There is a petition to create a national program to compensate the victims of vaccine injury in Canada. While this might seem like a good idea on the surface - compensating folks when vaccines cause harm - we have serious doubts about these type of programs - especially if they end up making the vaccine makers immune to liability for their products. The situation in the US is that vaccine makers bear zero liability so they have every incentive to push more unnecessary vaccines on the public and they have no incentive to ensure that their products are safe - nothing happens to them even if they could have made a safer vaccine and they end up killing thousands. Wouldnt we all be better served if pharmaceutical companies had to stand behind their vaccines and were subject to prosecution when vaccines caused harm as they have to do with their other products and as all other manufactures have to do for their products. Can you imagine buying a car from a company that was not liable for that car?? We say, repeal the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act and hold vaccine makers liable for their products.
