There is a point to my post - I promise. I encourage you to read it entirely. (Yes, it is long, lol.) One night last week, I decided to try a new type of dishwashing product for my dishwasher. It was the same brand name, but a different form . Instead of the liquid, I opted to use what the manufacturer described as a “pouch/pack”. Now, this was my first time using the product and because I did not want to take the time to read the instructions, I briefly *skimmed* over the directions, set the bulk container aside, placed the pouch in the dispenser cup, closed the dishwasher door, and “almost” turned the dishwasher on. Then something told me to review the instructions again. So I did! I discovered that I failed to see a very important step in the directions, “Place one pack in the main dispenser cup and CLOSE DISPENSER CUP DOOR.” Now, this may or may not have made a huge difference in how well my dishes were cleaned, but my point is that it is very important for us to read things thoroughly. Perhaps, even read them again because many times, there are important words or phrases that we may have initially missed. How does this relate to us spiritually? When we read our Bibles, we shouldn’t just casually read our Bibles. We should “READ” and “STUDY” them. We should do this because we don’t want to miss something that could prevent us from gaining a full interpretation (which COULD also prevent us from being able to FULLY apply certain principles to our lives). As for me, I may not “get” something the first time. Personally, I like to read verses over and over and over again until I DO “get it”. Also, when I am lacking in understanding about something, I pray about it. I ask the Lord to give me a revelation and clarification. I present questions to my pastors and other seasoned sisters and brothers in the Lord, and all of these things help me to gain a better understanding. Now, here it comes. (I think many of you knew this was coming).Of course the Bible is THE BIBLE – the Word of God. What I post is not the Bible by ANY MEANS, but I do my very best to base what I write on Biblical teachings. I pray before I post. I search Scriptures to support what I write, and I often times post those verses in the comments below. (Notice I wrote Scriptures and not a scripture.) Some of you may not agree with everything I write, and that is perfectly fine. Some of you may actually agree with everything I write, and well, I encourage you to ALWAYS go to the Lord. Don’t just take my word for it. Develop that relationship with Him where He speaks to you. You may find yourself at a time when your pastors, ministers, teachers, or Godly family and friends, are not readily available, and you may be forced to make a decision or handle a difficult situation or find strength to encourage yourself. This is one of the reasons I encourage us all to strengthen our connection with Christ. In short, all I am saying is 1. Read THOROUGHLY and re-read. 2. Pray.,and 3. Ask questions. May the Lord bless each of you! - Positivity Inspires
