There is a problem with writing in different genres in a time when `branding` is everything, especially in e-publishing. I look at the very successful e-book writters, and their covers are uniform--each book from This Writer will deliver the same thing you liked in the others. Well, the books I am preparing to publish are: A 70s [fictional] memoir about love, death, race and rock & roll; an end of the world novel; a supernatural detective-ish novel; a thriller about a Boston Irish family; a comedy taking place on Cape Cod; a sorta kinda supernatural tale about an island off the coast of Massachusetts; a three-volume drama of interplanetary/interdimensional war; a 500k epic collission of The Stand and Apocalypse Now; a post-apocalyptic murder spree character piece; a tale of the last days of a man dying while the world is overtaken by beings that use humans as furniture.... How do I sell these in a market where 90% of the books are romances between beautiful-but-sad women and male-model vampires?
