There is a question I will ask a billion dollar times. It beats my mind. I wont even go far back memories, but I can cite from about 20 years ago. That time people lived a very simple life, economic situations were boyond normalcy. I remember as a young boy, that time my parents would give me 20,000 thousand cedis now 2 cedis as my feeding money for one full week. As a small boy then i could manage the money and even keep a balance. I could mobilise friends and prepare a local delicacy, fufuo with part of this money. Life was very tasty. That time, you just passed by at the back of your house and u come with ripe plantain. At least feeding was very easy. What was not true is this ostentatious life style exhibited by our modern people. That time you hardly see a young man or woman driving in expensive car. Even to organise some money for a marriage, was something a preserve for the aged and the rich. I do not want to talk of building a house. After 20 years, there is a sharp contrast. Boys and girls below 20 have jumped into fashion spree. Today wedding, tomorrow dinner. Today pool party tomorrow bouquet, etc. The young have taken over buying and building of plush cars and mansions. Even their feeding culture have changed. One does not eat without some drinks. A grandiose lifestyle on a high display. Beyond this grandiose life standards, everybody is crying ooo. Our common cry is abrabo no aye hard. To wit, life is very difficult. So my million dollar question is what went wrong?
