There is a reason I dont run. Actually, there are many. But the main one is that my knees and other joints just cant handle it. Tonight, I was at the helm of Toris goat. (If you hate goat stories, go ahead and unfriend me now. I guarantee they will be a constant for the next few months. And Im okay with that. ). Anyway, Gitsma really didnt want to walk, but with some pulling, prodding, hiney poking, and begging, she finally decided to go catch up with Maddie and Brantley (Goatbert, in case you missed it.). And off we went. Nice power walk until we caught up. Then she balked. She refused to walk ahead of him. Absolutely. So we walk a respectable three paces behind. Until we reach the corner. The corner is where we turn around. Goats are smart. They know they are going home as soon as we turn around. They like that idea and critters that previously refused to walk decide to gallop. So, if you are walking a goat and the goat wants to run, you run. In this case, you know you dont have to worry about racing because Gitsma is not going to pass. Ever. She puts on the breaks as soon as we even up. So I ran. Not very far. Less than a quarter of a mile. I know I wasnt pretty; local drivers will probably start going the other way around the loop if this becomes a frequent event. The point of this story? There is no point. Except I need to go take some ibuprofen and go to bed. Tori will be gone tomorrow so I need to rest up for another round of goat-ercise. :)
