There is a resurgence of mysticism permeating our culture and churches these days. You may not know it by name, but this subtle shift from a belief in God to the experience of God tells me that we are returning to our mystical roots. Religions seem have their origin in the mystical experience. Jesus was known to say, I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Today we might say it thusly, God is in us and we are in God. If you are more interested in the experience of the Sacred in life than you are in right doctrine you likely have some mystical DNA in you too!
