There is a serious misconception that Budget Airlines like Tiger are always cheaper than the Normal ones. Considering the fact that Budget Airlines like Tiger putting in place unfair rules on check in luggage, it would basically means that customers will ultimately FORCED to buy the check in luggage anyway. This basically take away a huge part of Budget Airlines advantages. In the end, if we compare apple to apple, taking Cathay Pacific Airline to and fro HK and Singapore is actually MUCH CHEAPER than ALL BUDGET AIRLINES at some instances. In fact, the amount I am paying for my Cathay Pacific for this trip is much cheaper than all budget airlines, including Tiger and Scoot which has odd hours flight! Moreover, the most important thing is that they have GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE even though flight was delayed due to technical problems! So next time please double check Cathay Pacific airtickets before you take budger airlines like Tiger.
