There is a small practice that has annoyed me with Korean English - TopicsExpress

There is a small practice that has annoyed me with Korean English books. When I studied Latin, my book was all about ancient Rome. When I studied Spanish, my book was primarily about Latin America and Spain. However, I swear half of the English textbooks in Korea are about teaching Korean cultural things in English. I just finished an entire chapter that was about traditional Korean food, buildings, etc. Wouldnt it make sense to include small pieces of history and cultural practices from historically English speaking countries? Who is behind the policy to mainly discuss Korean culture in the English textbooks? (If this is unproductive, Ill take it down, but this is a practice Ive found really annoying)
