There is a train wreck up ahead. No one wants to listen to those who came before and paved the way for the next generation to enjoy what they have. After a long conversation with someone I respect and admire, it came to me. The generation after the ones who fought long and hard just to get basic rights and to bring back the culture, is part of the me me generation. They have somehow woken up to the woes of the world. But, because they are part of the me me generation, they continue to bring the me me with them. How to change the me me to us and to understand that there is a bigger picture where me doesnt exist is the next challenge. If we dont change what is happening nothing will change. It will be about ego, and photo ops, and a desire for recognition and the planet will die. We need to understand that the only way for survival is to build community. A true community relies on the survival of the whole. It depends on supporting one another, and understanding that without each other we are nothing. Remember the honour of one is the honour of all, and an injustice to one is an injustice to all.
